Why I make art:
It’s fun! It’s always an adventure. We start with an idea and without really knowing how it will turn out, we make something out of it. Exploration. Doing. Undoing. Re-doing. Keep doing. Embracing the notion that we do not always need to know what will come out of it. Taking a step at a time, being willing to backtrack and change track. Not accepting there’s only one way of looking at things. Being willing to consider various options. Being willing to say, “Oops…that was one lousy idea, let’s try another way.”
Failure is a part of success, not the opposite of success.

Modelling my own creation – a bangle/cuff made out of a recycled man’s shirt cuff, embellished with buttons, beads, crystals (recycled from my broken costume jewellery). Hand-sewn with heart. Inspired by the cuffs on Wonder Woman…in DC Comics, Wonder Woman’s cuffs are indestructible and able to absorb the impact of incoming attacks, allowing her to not only deflect automatic weapon fire, energy blasts and other projectile weaponry, but also absorb forces from a long fall.
“Wonder Woman” is available for private and public collection. All proceeds from the sale of the said artwork, net of Paypal and other necessary service, administrative and delivery charges, shall be donated by the artist to Perak Women for Women Society. Delivery within Singapore only. This is in support of women empowerment.
